For those looking for a quick tune-up or a Minor Service look no further. Bimmer Motors Inc. offers an indepth tune-up service that we call a "Minor Service". The following is a list of just some of the items our technicians and service managers do during a tune-up. For a more indepth service, check out the Major Service page.
Oil and Filter
- Drain and replace engine oil.
- Replace oil filter. Install new drain plug seals, and O ring.
- Replace fuel filter and air filter.
Tune-Up
- Replace spark plugs, set gap to factory specification.
- Check ignition wires, boots and connectors for cracks, dryness and wear. Replace if necessary.
Belts/Battery/Lights
- Check all belts and adjust all belt tensions.
- Clean battery terminals.
- Check all lights including headlights, tail lights, stop lights and side markers.
Road Test
- Drive at various speeds on different surfaces and evaluate.
- Check windshield wiper and washer operation. Aim washer nozzles and replenish fluid.
- Reset oil service light.
